// docs/quiz-generator
How the source material, generation settings, and grading work.
Give the generator something to work from, either a PDF (up to 4 MB, drag-and-drop or click to browse) or pasted notes (up to 40,000 characters) — you only need one of the two.
Then configure how the quiz should be built:
| Setting | Options |
|---|---|
| Number of questions | 5, 10, 15, or 20 |
| Difficulty | easy, balanced, or hard |
| Question types | Multiple choice, True / False, Short answer — pick any combination |
| Example questions | Optional, up to 12,000 characters. The AI matches the style of your examples, it doesn't copy them. |
No account is required. Your API key stays server-side, and files are only sent when you click generate. Avoid uploading confidential or sensitive documents — this is a public demo with usage limits to protect the AI quota.
Once generated, questions are shown one at a time with a progress bar — use Previous / Next to move between them, and Finish quiz on the last question to see your results.
The results screen shows your score as a percentage, then every question with your answer, the correct answer, and a short why explanation generated from your source material. Short-answer grading is lenient — it normalizes punctuation/case and accepts close partial matches, not just an exact string.
From there you can Retake the same quiz (answers reset, questions stay the same) or start a New quiz from the generator.
Tell me what you're building and where you're stuck. I typically reply within a day.
